Gone Fishing

Ever since I was a little girl I've loved going fishing. Lifes problem solution to my Grandma Low was "let's go fishing," I guess that's where I got it. After we got to town, friday afternoon, reality sunk in that we don't have a home to go to in Blanding anymore. So, we were talking about what to do, when we ran into Nichole and Sergio and the kids. They were going fishing and so, we joined them.

More Visitors

We were very surprised and excited when we recieved a phone call from Pastor Don and Reenie that they were in Monticello and heading out to see us. After they arrived we went out for a nice evening walk on one of the trails. We had a very nice time. During our conversation I learned that they name and claim rocks with their grandson like I used to do with my older girls. I thought that was cool.
We enjoyed the beauty of the Needles.......

And the view of the La Sal Mountain, although it didn't show up in this photo.

And we just saoked up the beauty of the evening. We really love visitors and we really enjoyed their company tonight. We just want to extend an open invitation to all of our friends and family. But if you want to eat just let us know so we will be prepared to feed you. If you want a place to sleep we will make room.

Spring Break Week

This has been a very eventful week. Monday, Melany and Avena came out for the day. We saw herds of Deer and some Cows. Then we had a picnic on the rocks, played cards, and napped. We had a great time. We were having so much fun I forgot about using my camera. The same day some friends from Blanding came out with their Grand kids. There wasn't enough room in the Park so Dave and I showed them a place out of the Park. They told us that they ended up having a great time where there were no restrictions like there are in the park.
Hubert and Mitinah came to Needles with us for the week of Spring Break, so, we all went out of the Park where we could ride the four wheeler for St. Patricks Day. I forgot my camera so I missed out on getting some fun pictures. However, today Cathy and her family came down and we went out to the falls. The kids rode the four wheeler. Lindsey and Mitinah played in the water. We, the mean old grown ups, told them not to jump until they made sure it was deep enough, but Mitinah jumped. Luckily she didn't get hurt when she discovered the pool of water wasn't deep enough. They went on the word of some kids that had went out a few days ago that the water was deep enough. Lesson learned not to go by hear say. We had a great time, then came home for dinner.
The highlight of St. Patricks Day was hearing that Debbie had her baby. This has been a fun year for new Grand babies. Michelle had MJ on Valentines and Debbie had Cali on St. Patricks Day. How blessed we are.

Fun Fun

While we were hiking tonight I saw this leaf. It looked like an Angel to me so I took a picture of it. What do you think? Look like an Angel to you? I thought this was pretty so I had to take a photo shot of it too.

Okay, this is me, the old lady next to the adorable young 14 year old Lindsey. We were just having fun. Dave is our photographer. Just another day on a trail.

A Testimony

"I cannot control the wind, but I can adjust the sails."
Blaine M. Yorgason

We are very excited that God has answered our prayers and showed us the way we need to go in order for our lives to come together in a more positive way. The experience to live here at the Needles is going to be an awesome one, and a sad one, as far as not living right next to family. But hay, what is an hour and 20 minutes?

This morning as I was driving from the shop, where Dave works, I remembered an experience I had. Just a reminder of how awesome God is and that he does in fact hear us. This experience changed my whole life, and remembering it today really helped me as I was already starting to miss everyone. There was a time in my life while living in Round Mountain, when some things had happened that were very wrong and devastating to my life. A good friend of mine, from the Lutheran church, came to the house to comfort me. I shared with her that I couldn't believe that this wrong had happened especially since I was living my life better than ever. The lies the devastation was overwhelming. She explained to me that sometimes God allows us to go through trials in our life to bring us even closer to him. I had always believed in God but admittedly, I often wondered if he really heard me, until one day after her visit; I began crying out to God telling him that I knew he existed but I really needed a daddy to talk to, that could talk back, comfort me with words I could hear with my ears, give me advise, and someone I could see.
About two hours later there was a knock on my door. I opened it to see the lady from the flower shop with a delivery for me. Anxiously I took a basket full of soaps, lotion, bath beads, and a note. As I read the note tears filled my eyes while an awe spiring joy filled my soul, and for the first time in my life I KNEW God really hears us. For in the note I read this scripture; D&C 50:44-46
44 Wherefore, I am in your midst, and I am the good Shepherd, and the stone of Israel. He that buildeth upon this rock shall never fall.
45 And the day cometh that you shall hear my voice and see me, and know that I am.
46 Watch, therefore, that ye may be ready. Even so. Amen.

God is so Awesome!

Scotlands Anthem / Praise to the Man

The song you hear is originally Scotland's Anthem. The LDS church changed the words as you know them, "Praise to the Man." I love the original version, the words are beautiful, and I'm proud of our Scottish Heritage. If you would like to see the Low family Crest just type, Low Family Crest into google search and it will take you there.

Scotland the Brave

Hark when the night is falling Hear! Hear the pipes are calling,
Loudly and proudly calling,
Down thro' the glen.
There where the hills are sleeping,
Now feel the blood a-leaping,
High as the spirits of the old Highland men.
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.
High in the misty Highlands,
Out by the purple islands,
Brave are the hearts that beat
Beneath Scottish skies.
Wild are the winds to meet you,
Staunch are the friends that greet you,
Kind as the love that shines from fair maiden's eyes.
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.
Far off in sunlit places,
Sad are the Scottish faces,
Yearning to feel the kiss Of sweet Scottish rain.
Where tropic skies are beaming,
Love sets the heart a-dreaming,
Longing and dreaming for the homeland again.
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.
