Loving Memories of Courtney

When we lived in Round Mountain Nevada, we went to a church that was so awesome. While we were there I was involved with a few ministries. I was in the worship band, prison ministry, and on a prayer team, and best of all I was the Children's Ministry Leader. In those few years I became very close to the children. All of those children are very dear to my heart to this day, one of which was Courtney Barber. Courtney was very on fire for God even at her young age of 7. She was 10 when we left Round Mountain.

One day when I arrived to teach at Children's Ministry, I had not been feeling well. Courtney was so bold in her faith of God, she came up to me, put her hands on my shoulders and started praying. Pretty quick all of the children joined her. Their faith was so amazing, and Courtney's prayer was so spirit filled.

I remember Courtney calling God, Daddy. I had the children write the words to several songs of which I helped them write. These are Courtney's words in one of the songs; "God's my best friend and I feel his arms around me when I am afraid." Then in another part of the song I used her words which say, "...thank you daddy..." Courtney passed on this past weekend from a car accident near Fallon Nevada. It is so heart breaking for all, especially her family. She was a shining light. As I read her words in the song, I can see her running to her Daddy-God and Him wrapping his arms around her. Courtney was 17 years old, and a Senior in high school. We will all miss her.

I want to Thank God for all of those children who were in the Children's ministry, and my experience with them. They were such a joy and their faith in God touched me, changing my life forever.

Isn't this cool?

Nichole, Sergio, and the girls came out for the night. The next morning we went for a hike and got some way cool pictures. We love it when they come out.

Our New Family Member

Meet Baylee, our newest member of the family. He is so awesome and has already brought us so much happiness. Lindsey is so excited, she's already taken him for walks which he loves. We got him from the Humane Society and he is so well trained. He loves having his fur combed too. He loves the cat but the cat does not like him. Hopefully she will adjust to him.
