A Warm February Day

Jessie and her boys came out to Needles today to enjoy the 53 degree weather. We went hiking and, well, some took a nap. I always love this spot. Enter through the archway and you will find all kinds of neat things. This is the last of some of the snow areas which is melting quickly. Hurray.
This is cave spring. The Fern is looking okay but it's very pretty and green in the summer.

Jessi checking out the berries. Do you see the creature looking down at her. The lighting is just right that there appears to be a faery or another type of fantastical creature, hanging from the cliff, looking down watching her pick the berries. To see it - it may help if you have seen the faeries created by Brian Froud. It's not your typical walt Disney sort of faery.

This was taken by the old cowboy camp.

We asked the twins to go look for Bobby, Kenny, and Lindsey, who had taken off on the cliffs, so excitedly they ran up this cliff but I had to stop them to get a picture.

So we are by the cowboy camp right... do you see the cowboy? I didn't notice it until I blogged the picture. Pretty wild eh. The cowboy (with out a hat) is the lighting on the rock wall to the left. He is sitting with his leg outstretched. He has sharp features, wearing glasses, and his cloths are striped. Maybe I just thought of a cowboy cuz we were near the cowboy camp.

We really enjoyed them being here today. The boys had a hard time being confined to the trails but boys will be boys.

Sorry, can't see the cowboy. You'll have to point it out to me. Neat pictures though. Someday we'll have to come exploring! :)
