Scotlands Anthem / Praise to the Man
The song you hear is originally Scotland's Anthem. The LDS church changed the words as you know them, "Praise to the Man." I love the original version, the words are beautiful, and I'm proud of our Scottish Heritage. If you would like to see the Low family Crest just type, Low Family Crest into google search and it will take you there.
Scotland the Brave
Hark when the night is falling Hear! Hear the pipes are calling,
Loudly and proudly calling,
Down thro' the glen.
There where the hills are sleeping,
Now feel the blood a-leaping,
High as the spirits of the old Highland men.
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.
High in the misty Highlands,
Out by the purple islands,
Brave are the hearts that beat
Beneath Scottish skies.
Wild are the winds to meet you,
Staunch are the friends that greet you,
Kind as the love that shines from fair maiden's eyes.
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.
Far off in sunlit places,
Sad are the Scottish faces,
Yearning to feel the kiss Of sweet Scottish rain.
Where tropic skies are beaming,
Love sets the heart a-dreaming,
Longing and dreaming for the homeland again.
Towering in gallant fame,
Scotland my mountain hame,
High may your proud standards gloriously wave,
Land of my high endeavour,
Land of the shining river,
Land of my heart for ever,
Scotland the brave.

Cute
Avena and Melany spent some time with us today. Grandpa was outside changing the oil in
the Explorer and the girls were standing by the door watching. I happened to glance over just in time to see Lucky (our neighbors dog that we are babysitting) curiosity getting the best of him as he shoved his way in between them. They all stood there for quite a while. I had to giggle and of course grab my camera.

Our Valentines Evening
Our Valentine tree.... I crocheted the hearts.
For Valentines Day we like to celebrate it as a family. Then Dave and I will go out to dinner
tomorrow night. I try to make it a very special time to celebrate our love for each other.
Our Menu:
Roast Beef
Baked Potato's
Mixed vegies
Bread
Red Jello mixed with Cool Whip
Heart cakes
After we finished dinner we played cards. Hubert and a friend of Lindsey's ate dinner and played cards with us. We are truly thankful for this awesome day. Our love extends to all of you.
Having our new Grandson born on this special day has been an awesome blessing.

My Canyonlands
For the past five years living part of the time at the Needles District of Canyonlands, I have always had a very deep love for the Needles. We love walking the trails, billions of stars light the night sky, and the milky way reveals itself more than most places in the world. When you spend time there you gain a new appreciation for nature gaining a love so deep that you pray it stays protected forever.
One day I went to the visitor center to buy a book. I looked at the many titles and beautiful illustrations on the covers when I noticed the words on one of the books "My Canyonlands." I took the book in my hands and thought to myself, "I beg to differ, it's my Canyonlands." I decided I wanted to read about this man Kent Frost who wrote the book. I took it home and started reading it with my family. The next day after being extremely impressed by the first chapter, I went back to the VC and bought a book for each one of us so that everyone could follow along. I wanted to buy the book for the entire world. We learned so much from this man, Kent Frost. I was so touched by him that he quickly became my Hero, next to my husband anyway. I always hoped that we might meet him someday not believing we would.
It finally happened on the 7th day of February when Grandma, Dave, and I, went to the Museum to see a documentary done on Kent Frosts behalf. It was so awesome, especially when I saw that he was there in person. We stayed late and because we hung around, a few people were able to hear Kent Frost tell the story of how he found the sash, which is in a case at the museum, finding it while walking at the Canyonlands. He also let Dave and I get a picture with him. It was a very enjoyable and blessed night. I have to say after learning more and more about Kent, that the Canyonlands is his. He is one of the few that made it possible for the rest of us to enjoy the most beautiful country in the world. To learn more about him, just buy the book and learn for yourself what we have learned. Then come to Needles and Visit us - we'll show you around.

Trip to Needles
Today we went to Needles to get the house ready to move back in to. Dave needs to get back to work so we will be staying out there during the week. Dave's foot is trying to learn how to work again so it will be much easier for him if we stay out there. This photo of the Needles was taken at sunset.

More about Max

"NO! Not a puppy, no way,"
"But he's so cute. Mom found him behind my truck."
"I really don't need a dog,"
"Just let me bring him over so you can see him."
"Well, Okay but just to look."
I was ready to say no, sorry, we can't have a dog.
But there he was in Jolyn's arms as she came in the door. He was so adorable, I could feel my heart soften as he looked at me with his big adorable eyes, and darling face. I was beginning to feel that awful temptation that I feel when I see baby animals. But in the back of my head I kept saying to myself, no, we can't afford another mouth to feed. We took Max into where Lindsey was sleeping and put him next to her. I'm laughing thinking yea, he's adorable but we can't keep him. Then that moment came when Lindsey opened her eyes. The joy, the excitement, and the first thing that came out of her mouth was an excited, "Is he mine?" Jo said yes, and with an even more excited voice Lindsey said "Really! He's mine?" As I looked at Lindsey's shining eyes of happiness, and Max cuddled into her, yes, my heart melted and there was just no way I could say that word, "NO!" I'm bad! But he has been a very good puppy, he was trained in two days and he minds me very well. He's been a blessing to our home and to Lindsey too. There's an old saying that the Scott's have that says that if a home doesn't have a dog, children, and a cat or two, there is no joy.
