Why we Love Snow
Every one I talk to in Monticello says they love the snow. So I decided to pay attention and see what it is they love about it. I decided it's because of it's beauty, and the more snow on the mountain the better. The snow is what makes Monticello so green during the summer months. the snow fills all three lakes on the mountain as well. Good fishing.

Bring on the Snow
I took this picture this morning after Dave had dug some of it out. Consider, also, this is after he shoveled all day yesterday.

The last time I saw this much snow I was about 11 years old, living in Blanding. As of today we are actually seeing more then we did back then. Dave shoveled and shoveled all day long and this is how much we had the last time he went out last night.
This is what we had this morning after he jumped out our back door and shoveled so we could even get out our front door.

Old Pictures - Awesome Memories
Today when I checked my e-mail I had the most awesome surprise awaiting me. My Aunt Karma - who's just the greatest - had sent me these pictures of me and my cousins. In this picture my cousin Robbi, who I wrote a story about on my stories and art blog, and i are sitting on Grandpa and Grandma Low's fireplace hearth. We did many performances for the family on that hearth. In fact, in one of my Christmas stories I wrote about this hearth. This is the place where Santa sat one Christmas Eve while we told him what we wanted for Christmas.
Grandma Low and the entire family were great audiences. they sat chairs up so that everyone would have a great seat to watch our special shows. LOL One song we sang (with the record) was, "Seattle." We sang and danced to our songs excited to receive our applause and cheers from everyone. Awe, great memories.
This picture is of myself and cousins up at hi low where Grandpa and Grandma had 2 cabins and a mountain home.

While driving around town the other day Lindsey and I were amazed at all the deer in town. First we saw about 7 deer by the Catholic church, but they were moving to quick to get a picture. Then as we passed the city park we noticed these deer basking in the warmth of the dry land under the trees. So I told Lindsey to get as close as she could and get a picture of the them. She was able to get pretty close while they just sat there watching her. Sunday, January 3, 2010
Christmas Eve Mass
Christmas eve was so awesome. St. Josephs in Monticello has been so blessed since the arrival of Father Bill. It has been many years since a Priest has come to Monticello for Christmas. We had a very wonderful night celebrating the birth of Christ. We were also blessed, since prior to Christmas Eve, Father Bill had fallen and broke his wrist and arm which required surgery in Salt Lake. We were so blessed that he was able to make it down despite it all.
The children sang with angelic voices....
And I was blessed to be able to play my guitar for them, and Mass as well.
Lindsey was taking the pictures for me so we didn't get pictures of her or Dave. But they were there. We sang Mary's Little Boy Child, Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Silent Night, and Joy to the World. After mass Dave and I went to Kylie's house, since she didn't go with us, and Sang Mary's Little Boy Child, and then gave Her and Bridget a stocking with candy and oranges. Then we went home and sang a couple more songs with Kelly since he wouldn't go with us either. It was a very memorable Christmas Eve. The miracle part of it all is that just the day before Christmas Eve, I had fallen on the ice and broke my hand. However, it broke in a place that I could still use my hand so I told the Dr. I could not have it casted since I needed to play Christmas Eve. The break is healing fine without a cast. Praise God the Angels were watching over me.

A warm winter day
The day started out like any other ordinary day, but when boredom hit like a stormy ice cold day, although it was nice warm winter day, we decided to hit the road and go to Blanding. LOL yea, Blanding. It was tons of fun. We went to the Museum to visit Grandma at work and take a look around, since Bridgett, Kylie's friend from Oklahoma, needed to get acquainted with the place. First we looked at the exhibits and then we showed Bridgett the all famous Kopapelli. LOL If any of you have seen him you will know why it was so funny. I told them we needed to buy a Santa hat for him and get our pics taken with him. Anyway, isn't this picture beautiful?
Next we went to the kiva. It was different going there with snow all over the place, but it was nice and dry once we got down in it.

It's Begining To Look Alot Like Christmas
We were watching the news and they showed these adorable penguins. I couldn't reisist and took a pic of them off my tv. Aren't they just adorable?
When we woke up this morning and looked out we realized no one was going anywhere for a while today.
